In 2019, I picked up a camera for the first time. Six months later, I stepped away from my two other jobs and took a leap into photography full-time — and I haven’t looked back. Since then, I’ve photographed hundreds of families, dozens of weddings, and in 2023, began exploring the world of branding and business storytelling. This journey has taken me from the tippy top of Minnesota to the southern shores of Florida, and I truly love every moment of it.
I’m a mom, first and foremost to my beautiful daughter. It’s my greatest joy in life. We’re thick as thieves, joined at the hip, and pretty much inseparable in the best way possible. You can often find the two of us exploring coffee shops, making coffee at home, curled up at home reading a million books, dancing in the kitchen, or cruising the aisles at Trader Joe’s and Costco (we’re professional sample snackers there).
I am a true to life, candid photographer. I believe your photos should look like your memories, with just a touch of magic. I aim to be timeless, not trendy. I capture photos for the feeling (not the feed). I take a relatively relaxed approach to sessions. It is my aim to prepare you with everything you need ahead of time, so when you arrive, it feels easy, and low pressure.
From the moment I learned how to read, I’ve never stopped falling in love with stories. I picked up every book I could at the library, (still do!) and then one day, I picked up a camera. I fell in love with the idea that you can freeze a moment in time with the click of a button. With one move, a moment is a memory you can always revisit.
The scenic route is my favorite route. I love to travel. I even have a list of dream places to travel (that come with a special discount ;) ) Consider me the snack-bringer, playlist-keeper, and your boarding buddy, all in one. I genuinely believe that some things are more special, simply because the place matters to you. So whether it’s a family cabin, a honeymoon location, a dream destination, I’m all in!
Not to sound unprofessional, but same, I get it. While it feels easy breezy for some people, it feels overwhelming and intimidating and impossible to relax for others (me lol). I know it’s easier said than done, but truly, don’t stress. I work with people all the time who feel that way, and I come armed with everything we need no matter where you find yourself. Whether taking photos feels easy, or overwhelming, I’ve got you. Plus, I send out a guide with every session that shares some tips + tricks, and things to help you get the most out of our time together.
